Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez (born Rosa Maria Perez on the 6th of September 1964) is an American actress as well as choreographer, dancer and activist. Her first big break came with her role as Tina in the film Do the Right Thing (1989), and then White Men Can't Jump (1992). Perez was nominated for the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fearless (1993). Perez has appeared in a number of films since that time, including It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2021). She was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, one for In Living Color (1990-1994), and another nomination for her role in The Flight Attendant (2020-2021). She has also appeared in Broadway playslike The Ritz and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. In the 18th season of the show, she also co-hosted on ABC's talk program The View. She was a student at Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood. Her mother was in poverty in Woodside Houses by 1999. She passed away from complications of AIDS in the year 1999.
